Preserving Our Heritage for Generations
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) began in 1952 and has since grown into a global family, now present in nearly 200 countries and territories. Despite this incredible expansion, much of RCCG’s rich history has not been properly documented. To address this, the RCCG Archive was birthed in January 2022—a vision inspired by God and strongly supported by our General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. It was established as part of preparations for RCCG’s 70th Anniversary, with the mission of safeguarding our heritage for posterity.
Foundation Team, Work & Exhibitions
The Archive project is coordinated by Pastor (Dr) Joseph Adeyokunnu (RCCG Intercontinental Financial Controller), who brought together a team of seven dedicated professionals to lay its foundation. The team is led by Professor Babatunde Adedibu (former Provost of the Redeemed Christian Bible College), with Professor Adewale Alade serving as Secretary and head of the Secretariat. Other members include Pastor Sam Adeyemo, Pastor Tunde Oke, Dr. Adeleke, Dr. Abubakar Olaseni, and Dr. Rotimi Alaba Oti (the current Provost of the Bible College). Their work officially began on February 7, 2022, using part of the Bible College Main Library at Redemption City as the Archive’s secretariat. Since then, the committee has hosted two exhibitions—one during the March 2025 Special Holy Ghost Service, and another at the 73rd Annual Convention in August.
Special Collections & Depositories
The Archive is envisioned as both a library and museum, housing several special collections.
These include:

Pastor E.A. Adeboye Depository – chronicling his family background, journey in RCCG and his global leadership impact.
Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Adeboye Depository – highlighting her contributions and global influence.
Triumphant Elders & RCCG Leaders Depository – honouring those who have shaped RCCG’s growth.

Redemption City & Camps Depository – capturing the story and impacts of our spiritual hubs across the globe.
